4 Reasons You’ll Love to Drive the 2018 Chevy Trax
When you’re looking for a new vehicle to upgrade to, check out the 2018 Chevy Trax. Starting at just $21,000, this vehicle is affordable for many people. It has an athletic appearance and plenty of space to store your items, no matter where life takes you. You can choose from three different trim levels and upgrade to an optional package to customize your new vehicle even more.
This vehicle has an aggressive and sporty stance that, along with the dual-port grille, gives it an athletic look. A halogen projector is available, and it’s equipped with LED daytime running lights. 18-inch chiseled aluminum wheels with five spokes are available, and the lighting flows well from the top part of the grille to the fender in the front. The back has a rear fascia that’s SUV-inspired, and the Premier and LT models have sculpted LED taillamps.
Plenty of Storage
There are eight different configurations to change the storage space inside, so there’s plenty of cargo versatility. The seats can fold flat to adjust for however many items you need to stow in there. Whether you’re camping, going to a baseball game, or stowing your bikes, there’s room for it all. Objects as long as 8 feet can fit in the vehicle when the passenger seat in the front is folded down. When passengers occupy the seats, they’ll be pleased to see how comfortable they are.
Different Trim Levels
The 2018 Chevy Trax comes in three different trim levels: LT, LS, and Premier. The LS is the most basic and has standard equipment, while the LT has several packages that can be added on. The Premier has interior upgrades as well as more active safety features.
All trims have an engine that’s turbocharged with 1.4-liter four-cylinder. They get 148 pound-feet of torque and 138 horsepower. The standard model comes with front-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission. The front-wheel-drive models have rear drum brakes and front disc brakes. All-wheel drive is optional. It comes with disc brakes that are in each corner.
All models come with a rearview camera to help with backing up and a steering wheel that tilts and telescopes. The LT model has heated mirrors and the vehicle can start remotely, helping you on those cold days. There’s also a drawer for storage underneath the passenger seat. Passengers will enjoy a 110-volt outlet in the back to charge their electronics.
The Premier trim has everything the LT does, in addition to leather upholstery that’s fully simulated and front seats that are heated. There are also more safety features, including lane departure warning and forward collision alert. Drivers can upgrade to the Midnight Edition package to have black paint, a black interior, and black exterior trim pieces.
